Our Hemp Company
Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Cornbread Hemp is the #1 rated Hemp company in the Bluegrass State. Our Kentucky hemp roots date back to 1775, when the first hemp plant was harvested in Springfield, Kentucky. Today, we source our crop from USDA organic farmers in Kentucky.
Cornbread Hemp products are sold in nearly 100 health food stores and pharmacies across the midwest and southeast. Our USDA organic Hemp oils are the most potent hemp products to ever be certified organic by the federal government. We pride ourselves on partnering with local, trusted retailers that support our mission of getting comfortable with Hemp.
Cornbread Hemp was founded by two first cousins, Eric Zipperle and Jim Higdon, who are both native Kentuckians.
We recently hosted an equity crowdfund campaign and sold $400,000 of Cornbread Hemp stock. We will be opening another round at a higher valuation in 2022. To stay up to date on investor opportunities, subscribe to our email list!
You're right to be skeptical about organic Hemp products. Luckily, ours are for real! View our USDA organic certification paperwork to see for yourself.
Our Hemp Products
Full spectrum Hemp products contain the complete natural hemp plant compounds.
Yes, they actually are! View our certificate here. Our USDA organic Hemp oils have been certified organic by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Our products meet a rigorous set of standards set by the USDA for pesticides, fertilizers, and much more.
Hemp products are produced in the flower of the hemp plant, not the stems, stalk, leaves, or other plant parts. Flower-Only™ means that the flowers of the hemp plant have been separated from the rest of the plant parts, instead of using the whole plant. The result is a higher quality full spectrum Hemp extract that is free of unnecessary plant matter.
Absolutely! Cornbread Hemp sends every single batch to be tested by our third party lab testing partner, Kaycha Labs. We never release a batch of Hemp oil for sale online, or with our retail partners, until we know for sure that it is 100% free of pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and microbials, and that the product label is accurate as it relates to hemp content. View our certificate of analysis for each batch at the link above, including our selection of Hemp topicals and hemp oil for pets. We never hide our lab reports behind a batch number portal. You have access to our entire library of batch reports from the beginning of our company in 2019 when visiting our lab reports page.
Before purchasing Hemp products from a company, look for their hemp farm on the company website, or a hemp growing license. If they have a relationship with their hemp farmer, they will have photos and video of the farm on the website, or a hemp license from their state. If you don’t find pictures of the hemp farm or a license, odds are that they don’t have one! This is what we refer to as a “White Label” Hemp company, which should be avoided at all costs. Cornbread Hemp became the first Hemp company in Kentucky to offer USDA organic hemp oils because we work with the best hemp farmers across the state who use only organic farming practices.
Our USDA organic Hemp oils are made with only two certified organic ingredients: USDA organic Kentucky hemp extract and USDA organic coconut oil. That's it.
We use organic sugarcane ethanol to extract our Flower-Only™ hemp oil, with no stems or leaves included in the process. That means our hemp product don't have a harsh, bitter aftertaste that many full spectrum hemp products contain. Every product is tested for residual solvents before being made available for sale.
Heck, no! We believe that hemp is the world's most important natural remedy, so why would we distort its natural beauty?
